03 The fine print
What you should know.

What "lifetime" means
Gemstone's testing puts the lights at about 50,000 hours. At 7 hours a day that is 20 years. The warranty stays valid no matter how many hours a day you run them.

What the 10 years cover
Every other part of a track system: power kits, controllers, cables, connectors and the track itself.

Register within 30 days
The warranty has to be registered within 30 days of installation. The Gemstone Lights app asks you to do it, or you can register on Gemstone's website.

Labour
Gemstone covers service charges for the first year. After that, service calls may cost extra. Ask us about our own coverage when we quote.

Selling your home
The warranty can be moved once to the new owner within the 10-year period. The transfer has to be done within 90 days of the new owner taking possession, and it carries up to 2 years of the remaining coverage.

01 What does the lifetime warranty cover?
The lights (bulbs) in both home and commercial track lighting systems, and Gemstone deck lights.
02 What does the 10-year warranty cover?
All the other parts of a track system: power kits, controllers, cables, connectors and track.
03 Does it matter how many hours a day I run them?
No. The lifetime rating comes from testing (about 50,000 hours, or 20 years at 7 hours a day), but the warranty stays valid however much you use the lights.
04 What if I miss the 30-day registration?
Gemstone will not honour the warranty if it is not registered within 30 days of installation, so please register right away.
05 How do I transfer the warranty when I sell my house?
Contact Gemstone Lights at 1-888-908-2675 or through the chat on their website. The transfer has to happen within 90 days of the new owner taking possession.
06 Is labour covered?
Gemstone covers service charges for the first year. After that, service calls may have a charge unless your dealer offers extra coverage. Ask us about ours.
