Permanent light questions.
01 How much do permanent Christmas lights cost?
The price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit. We measure your home and give you an exact quote for free. Ask about financing when we quote.
02 How long will they last?
The lights are rated for 50,000 hours, about 20 years at 7 hours a night, and they have a lifetime warranty. All other parts are covered for 10 years.
03 Are they only for Christmas?
No. Most people run warm white most nights of the year, then switch to colours for Christmas, Halloween, game days, birthdays and other occasions.
04 How bright are they?
Up to 46 lumens per light, or 60 to 100 lumens per foot of roofline. You can dim them anywhere from 0 to 100 percent.
05 Will they raise my power bill much?
Not much. Each light uses at most 1 watt in full white, and colours use less. About 150 lights, a typical house, draw no more than 150 watts.
06 Can they go on a wood soffit?
Yes. Gemstone track goes on wood or aluminum trim, and it is colour-matched so it blends in.
07 Can I do the front now and the back later?
Yes. You can light the front first and add the back or other parts of the house later.
08 Will they work with my pot lights?
Yes. Gemstone lights can go in alongside pot lights you already have.
09 When should I book?
Fall and early winter are the busiest time, so wait times can be longer then. The earlier you ask, the more choice you have on dates.
